Pair of Rustic French Rush Seat Bar Stools

beautifully timeworn wooden frames and hand-woven rush seats. Honest, rustic pieces with a wonderfully tactile quality, showing generations of use in their softened edges and mellow patina.

The rush seats retain their integrity while displaying gentle variation and character, and the frames are richly covered in patina in line with age and use. One rung bears faint numbers from a historical repair, a quiet and authentic detail that adds to the story and provenance of the pair rather than detracting from their charm.

Strong, sturdy frames with stretchers all round make them practical as well as decorative. Perfect for a country kitchen, breakfast bar, studio space or used as occasional stools or side tables, they bring effortless European character to any interior.
